BYJL 2025 The British Youth and Junior League will continue this year with the entrance fee unchanged at £3. This year the regional rounds 1, 4 & 5 will count towards the BYJL individual and team scores. Rounds 2 & 3 being held on two Sundays in May are being run under the BYJL banner as a way to protect junior riding, but the event structure will be formulated on the day according to numbers. All categories will be run at the same time, so all riders must be ready to ride at the published start times. There will be four national rounds as normal. This policy provides how British Cycling’s Transgender or Non-Binary Competitors may take part in Competitive Activity within cycling. This policy shall apply from 1 January of the year of a Competitor’s 13th birthday. For all Competitive Activity, there will be the following competition eligibility categories: - Female; and - Open . A Competitor may change their competition eligibility category under this Policy once a calendar year. ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS TO COMPETE IN OPEN CATEGORY In respect of Competitive Activity, any Transgender and Non-Binary Competitors (and indeed all Competitors) are eligible to compete in the open category. ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS TO COMPETE IN FEMALE CATEGORY In respect of Competitive Activity, to compete in the female category, the Competitor’s birth sex must be female. Once a Trans male or Non-Binary Competitor (whose birth sex is female) commences hormone treatment, they will not be eligible to participate in the female category in any Competitive Activity.
BYJL team scores are the total points scored by each club in the qualifying races for age categories U12 and above. F0r 2025 the top two clubs will qualify for the National Team Competition
